War Brides

'Overpaid, over-sexed and over here' was the verdict of British civilians of American and Canadian soldiers conscripted to Britain in Second World War. The result was hasty marriages to Canadian soldiers and mass emigration of British young women to northern America in 1940s. This work tells the story of war brides in their own words.
